Stevenson Outclasses López in High-Level Boxing Showcase
Shakur Stevenson delivered a masterclass performance as he defeated Teófimo López by unanimous decision in a highly anticipated showdown between two of boxing’s elite.
From the opening bell, Stevenson controlled the pace with sharp footwork, precise jabs, and elite defensive awareness. López had moments of success early, landing explosive counters and trying to pressure Stevenson, but struggled to cut off the ring consistently.
As the fight progressed, Stevenson’s timing and accuracy began to separate the two. He neutralized López’s power by maintaining distance, slipping punches, and responding with clean combinations that swayed the judges round after round.
López showed heart and flashes of brilliance, especially in the middle rounds, but Stevenson’s composure and ring IQ proved decisive. After twelve rounds of technical, high-level boxing, the judges scored the bout 117–111, 118–110, and 116–112 in favor of Stevenson.
With the win, Stevenson cemented his status as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, while López showed he remains a dangerous force capable of challenging anyone on the right night.
